Central Illinois is fortunate to have a dedicated high quality AV store with the customer friendly expertise of Glenn Poor's. Terrific and knowledgeable people.

Geoff has been a hifi mentor to me and my musician friends since I was a student at UI in the 90s. He has always been passionate about the latest audio advances. Kyle and Kavi are extremely welcoming and helpful. I recommend a visit to the store even just to see and hear the latest and greatest.

I bought a piece of audio equipment on 7/26/25. Jeff, Kavi, and Kyle could not have been more gracious or helpful. They are extremely knowledgeable. Amazon does not win a head to head battles with service provided like this.

I recently decided to upgrade my stereo, and I'm sure glad I decided to consult Kyle at Glen Poor's. With his experience and ear (he's a fabulous trombonist), Kyle helped steer me to a new (to me) pair of main speakers, new center speaker, and quality AV amp (from another store) with enough power to drive my new 4 ohm mains. The results are way better than I anticipated! Kyle's after-the-sale assistance, especially in setting up the amp, was impressive too. One hazard of upgrading your speakers and amp: older equipment like my trusty Ortophon blue catridge, may not be long for this world. I can't recommend Glen Poor's and Kyle enough. One of the very few high-end audio stores that do it old- school right, and do right by their customers!

I went into Glenn Poor's last weekend with only a vague idea of what I wanted my space to sound and look like but no idea how to make that dream a reality. Kyle and Glenn patiently answered all my dumb questions before hooking me up with absolutely stunning gear. I had no idea music could sound this good! I had a great time in the store looking/listening to all the fancy toys while being regaled with tales of Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Ed Sullivan. I will definitely be using Glenn Poor's for all my future audio needs, and I highly recommend them to people like myself who are in the fledgling stages of creating the perfect sound scape. I mean…just take a look at these beauties!! And they sound better than look!
